A quick Google identified this quaint little shop in the covered market. Cosy is the word.
They offer a selection of classic Korean dishes. Each one has a distinctly homecooked flavour that just reminds us of our time in Korea.
The kimchi jjigae is a great bit of comfort food and the little set meals are great with a little bit of a spicy kick.
A little more expensive than we expected for the portion size but delicious and it's not easy to find a good Korean restaurant in Oxford. Would definitely recommend!
This is not real 순두부 찌개. I'm afraid that non-Koreans believe this as Korean food. At least it needs more vegetables. There was only 1/4 piece of a layer of an onion. It tastes like just Korean instant ramen paste.
Since I had only 순두부찌개 from here, I have no idea about other menu. Maybe other food would be better.(I hope so...)
However, after 5 days experience in Oxford, now I know that this restaurant provides quite good food with very cheap price and nice service.
If there is anyone who want to have Korean food here, I recommend Bibimbab instead of soup..
The food here was tasty however I wasn’t a fan of the rice (a bit tasteless). Everything else however was good. The service was a bit slow as we came at peak lunch time period. Reasonable prices.
